Gift Guide: The Hostess

Today's the day – GIFT GUIDES ARE HERE! I'm posting new gift guides for the next two weeks. Get excited, people! Like I said before, I'm really excited to be sharing these with you and these are honestly some of my favorite types of posts to read by other bloggers, so I hope you enjoy them!

I'm starting it off with ideas for that person in your life that loves to entertain. I myself love hosting people and always appreciate it when someone gives me a gift that I can use to give back to them.

Making A List, Checking It Twice

Image via

Mark your calendars for my holiday gift guide series, starting on Monday. Cue the confetti! Gift guide posts are some of my favorites to read and these were definitely one of my favorites to put together. I can't wait to share these with you!

Until then, I'm going to slip into some elastic waistband pants and throw on a baggy sweater to hide the inevitable food baby that is to come.

Wherever you are and whatever you're doing, I hope you can ditch your computer screen (and your phone too!) for some quality face time with friends and family. Unwind, eat, [eat, eat,] and share lots of laughs with the people you love most. And make some time for you to try something new.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving Centerpieces to Suit Every Style

Image via
When I host any type of get together, my favorite way to brighten up the space and add a touch of personality is with floral arrangements. And if you're a guest, they're a really thoughtful gift to give to the host!

Centerpieces completely set the scene and the possibilities are truly endless. Your personal style can be reflected from the flowers themselves to the vase that's being used. So no matter what type of Thanksgiving gathering you're hosting or attending, here are 4 different arrangements that will elevate your table setting and suit many styles.

Friday Finds: No. 8

This week has kind of kept me busy (in a good way), which is probably why I can't believe it's already Friday today! But those are the best kinds of weeks, am I right?

5 Simple (And Reusable) Friendsgiving DIY Ideas

Image via
My friends and I are thinking of having a friendsgiving dinner next week since a few of us aren't going to visit family this year. And I am one who's always up for hosting parties and a good DIY sesh, except for when all of your beautiful decorations get thrown out or when they can't be repurposed for later. So, I've wrangled up a few of my favorite DIY ideas from around the interwebs that you can easily make and reuse even after friendsgiving!

Friday Finds: No. 7

I thought about what I wanted to share with you in this week's installment of Friday Finds and decided that I wanted to start taking a slightly different approach.

I don't know if it's because Thanksgiving is approaching, but I want to spend less time complaining and more time being grateful (even about the little things). Which is why I want to shift gears a bit and use Friday Finds to share a few glimpses into my week – anything that sparked a bit of happiness, no matter how small they are.

But of course, if I see something worth mentioning or that'll give you a good laugh, I'll definitely share (like this). :)

5 Things I Want To Make More Time For

Image via

These days, it's crazy to think about how much time we pour into social media, how many hours we spend staring at multiple screens, and how little face time we actually get with the people in our lives. (Or at least this is true for myself.)

And then I saw this video that Estée posted, where she documented a 48 hour digital detox.
48 HOURS. Sadly, I don't even know if I could successfully go 24 hours without looking at my phone, watching TV, or going online. But then, she posted this other video about 5 things she wanted to make more time for and it got me thinking about all the things I keep saying I want to do, but "don't have time for" too.
